Hey, my name is Eric. I'm 23 y/o, LDS, a college student, and this is my page about health, style, and better living. If there's anything else you wanna know, just hit me up!
I am a marketing major, an amateur photographer, and a poet at heart. As such, I find great interest in finding and acknowledging beauty when it is found around me. Whether it is visually, physically, mentally, audibly , emotionally, or psychologically appealing, I always try to make sure it’s value is known by the creator or the holder of such beauty. However, I’ve noticed, with some confusion, that society has pulled us into the belief that some things should not be thought of as beautiful, when they by nature are what we desire. For example, you may compliment a woman on her eyes, her smile, her hair, the complexion of her skin, but if you bring notice to her breasts, it is suddenly perverse or unacceptable. All fore-mentioned attributes are merely physical, no more than skin deep; Yet, one will flatter her, and the other will offend her to her very core. The same can go with men as well. A woman may compliment a man on his eyes, smile, biceps, chest, but if a man is complimented on the smooth touch of his hands, he will feel as though you have robbed him of his masculinity indefinitely. People leave me pondering in perpetual wonder as to why we cannot not simply enjoy something in honesty.
Can you be in love with no one at all? I feel as though I am in love lately, but with no one in particular. I know the feeling, as I’ve been there before, but there’s no reason to feel that way. Maybe I’m just in love with life? I find beauty surrounding me in simplicity, and butterflies in my stomach. I can’t help but smile when I’m alone, and my heart will pound from time to time with no reason as to why. Has anyone else ever felt this way?
