I would like to introduce you guys to barbie today. Except this isn’t the barbie you see outside; this is barbie without her make-up. Girls see over 400 advertisements every day telling them how they should look. They are told to paint another girl’s face over theirs, get implants, dye their hair, and try to be barbie. Even barbie doesn’t truly look like barbie though. When we pass from this life to the next, you do not take your make-up with you. I’ve never been a fan of make-up, dying your hair, fake tans, and all this trying to be someone else. If you were born blonde, you will be blonde in the next life. If you’re a brunette, you’re brunette in the next life. So, rather than trying to look like someone else, why not simply embrace the way you are, and work with the natural features you have? This is not to say you shouldn’t try to look pretty, but do so naturally. Rather than dying your hair, accept the color you have. Instead wearing eye liner to make your eyes pop, wear colors that compliment them. Instead of putting on cover up and blush to have a healthy “looking” complexion, exercise and eat right to actually have one. Work with your body; don’t cover it up. But, this is just my two cents. Natural beauty beats corporate beauty any day.
